Minny and I rocked up to this months event to try and sell some of our handmade treasures. To be honest, there wasn't much footfall at this event so I didn't sell that much but I did sell some stuff which feels great! Here's some photos of me and Mins...

I'm at home home this weekend to spend some time with my beloved parents. I just took a shower and thought I MUST blog about this...(apologies for doing another Garnier post).

I just used a facewash that was lying round in the bathroom... it's the Garnier Skin Naturals Anti-Blackhead deep pore wash.

Terri's Verdict?

It felt like I was using SANDPAPER on my skin!

Yes... it's an anit-blackhead wash and yes it's supposed to be exfoliating.

BUTTTTTT....

I felt like I was scratching my skin off. It was horrible! I had to rinse it of as quickly as possible.

I would definitley not recommend it. Have you used it and felt the same??

Garnier BB Cream - Edit!

BB creams are new to the UK but have been around for sometime now especially in Asia. My mum says that everything in Hong Kong is BB lol. I'm sure many of you have read about the new Garnier BB cream and maybe even tried it? There's 2 shade available, Light and Medium. So whats the big deal we ask?

It claims to:
1) Even skin tone
2) Blur imperfections
3) Smooth fine lines
4) Provide 24hr hydration
5) Helps protect with SPF 15.

Terri's Verdict?

I bought the Medium shade as the light shade was too light.

Photo 1: Clean face with steam cream moisturiser.

Photo 2: With BB Cream

Photo 3: With basic makeup - bit of bronzer, blusher, and eyeliner.

I've used this for 1 week to get a better idea of it before reviewing it.

In my honest opinion, it's not amazing. I found it to be just like a tinted moisturiser. I don't really have spots and stuff (touch wood) so it's hard to say whether it does a good job covering those up but really DON'T expect it to cover up as well as foundation (of course). It's alright if you are looking for an everyday look thats quick and easy to put on. I'm not sure if you can see from the photos, the coverage does look better in real life. I did find that the product had a pinkish tone to it, I've got chinese skin so my skin colour is slightly yellow so it's not the perfect match.

Quick tip: don't put too much on! It's quite a thin product and spreads easily. Putting too much on will make your face will look really oily - definitely dust on a bit of powder to set it.

Will I recommend it?

This product did not blow me away. For £9.99 I can think of a better product I could buy (in fact I will do a review on my foundation which I LOVE... and it's highstreet). Though I have to say I think this BB cream is better than my MAC face and body foundation as that is far too thin for any coverage whereas this does give a better all round complexion. I guess you would have to really try to see for yourself, I think it will work differently on different skin tones and textures.

So does it live up to it's claim?

A closer look at what I bought..

This is the only playsuit I own. I've got big hips & a rather large bamsi so everytime I try them on, I just think it makes me look like an elephant. This one fits really well as it doesn't go up my backside. I love them but they're so not practical when you go to the toilet, you're literally starkers!

Do you guys wear playsuits much?

My New Dog & Bone!

I did it. I broke my iphone a few weeks back and Apple couldn't fix it. Yup. All contact details were lost, all 1000+ photos gone, old messages... zip. ziltch. nada. kaput. vaminos. I only saved a few photos and of course iphone doesn't allow any information to be stored on the sim. Cut long story short, my contract was coming to an end anyways so it was time to get a new phone.

After umming and aahhing for a while, I decided to LEAVE the iphone club(?!). Yup. I am now no longer part of the iphone clan and all that jazz that comes with it.

Instead, I've now got myself a new Samsung Galaxy S2... Ta Da!

I was really scared to come out of my 'comfort zone' as I do love the iphone. However, despite how 'great' the iphone is, there's lots of things that I don't like or that really bug me about it so thought it was time to venture out and try something new. Plus I didn't want to feel like SHEEP anymore!

The SGS2 is sooooooo good! It's so much more technologically advanced than the iphone. It's SUPER LIGHT and there's so much more personalisation, there's cool widgets, you can just about do anything like I even used it to work out something in Excel (crazy sh*t). The camera is 8 megapixel... what more do you want? OHHH... I've also been watching films on my phone during my commute - love! I've also bought a really nice purple (photo isn't great - it was taken using the iphone).

The only downside is the battery life but other than that, I'm sooooo glad that I'm not just following the Apple craze. What I hate about the iphone is that, it's actually not that great because it's miles behind everyone else yet everyone loves it (bet if iphone allowed software like Excel on it or an 8mgp camera on it, people would be like "Oh my god. That's like the coolest thing ever" even though it's been out for donkey's ears). 8/10 people have an iphone on the tube and it feels nice not to be just another iphone user.

Anybody else have this phone? If not, which phone do you have??

Summer... hmm. Not quite here in the UK (is it ever??). After that brief spell of hot weather we had in April - 3 months ago I might add - we've had bits of sunshine but not a rise in mercury. As it's grey and dull outside I wanted to brighten things up and do a blog spot about my favourite summer nail varnishes. Here's the spectrum of colours...

After I painted my nails I realised I should have done them the other way round because I started on my pinky first *doh*! So I've reversed the images to show it better - hopefully.

Weight Loss??

It's been almost a week since I started my 'healthy eating regime'. I have decide that I'm not going to call it a ~~diet~~ anymore. I absolutely hate the word and makes me feel uncomfortable.

So what went down?

I've been following what the book has been saying (though to exactly what it says).

Breakfast: Strawberries & a peach or 2.

Snacks: Non.

Lunch: Salad & Protein.

Dinner: Protein & cooked veg OR Protein & Salad.

My lunch today... rabbit food.

It's been quite tough because I'm a snacker and there are moments (everyday I have to add) when I crave so badly a packet of crisps or eat some biscuits or something. This is especially so during the afternoon lull - that quarter past 3 afternoon tea time.

I'm not going to lie but I've cheated a little... the first couple of days, I had a naughty twix *slaps hand*. But I felt hungry and needed something to keep me going for the rest of the afternoon. But apart from that... no carbs! Also, Saturday night it was pouring with rain and my bf and I didn't want to brave the supermarket in the storm so ordered pizza *shakes head*. But...

Results so far??

I've actually lost 2.5kg in 6 days - awesome! I wonder if I would've lost more weight if I didn't cheat at all?

The NED Diet?

I've been meaning to lose some weight and tone up for ages. It is the summer after all and girls (and guys) are even more image conscious since we're trying to cram ourselves into skimpy tops and having to bare those legs of ours.

Don't get me wrong. I'm not fat by any means but I just need to get back into shape (and into my old clothes)! Ideally, I'd like to lose 7kg/ 3/4 of a stone/ 15 pounds. This does seem far fetched especially as I'm making small efforts to eat healthy and still craving/consuming naughty foods - yup - those cheeky carbs and sinful snacks.

I was recommended a diet recently by a wonderful friend of mine. She went on this diet along with her bf and they've experience great results in a short period of time - bonus! So I decided to jump on the bandwagon and try this thing out. It says it's a 'simple' way to lose weight. The approach basically imitates the lifestyle of our ancestors - ice age and all that - where they eat more but move little. It say's that you can:

Shed pounds in a matter of weeks.
Say goodbye to enless exercise.
Beat diabetes and prevent heart disease
Look younger and prevent premature ageing
Increase your sex drive (?!)

YES - I think I'm onto a winner here!

BUT

Then menu looks a bit... difficult. It goes against the grain on common diet plans of eating less but more often. This, I'd have to eat 3 square meals a day. Snacking is aloud inbetween. However, from looking at the plans, it really does cut out ALL carbs, grains, dairy, non-foods (goodies basically), and also missing out the occasional meal (because our ace-age ancestors did this often when there was no food available).

SO

What food do I get to eat? Lots of seafood (like LOTS), vegetables, fruit, meat, and lots of water. Meat, veg and fruit I can deal with. Problem is I love seafood but things like Salmon is expensive (espeically the amount suggested on a weekly basis) and no carbs. I mean... NO CARBS? What the hell am I going to do?

It's going to be really tough but then again, as I don't need to lose weight extremely quickly I will be slightly lenient (i.e. going for a meal with friends and having the occasional snack). I think it's important to stay healthy and all tha jazz but I'd like to live a bit as well - I know this sounds so contradicting even as I type this.

I'm starting this 'diet' tomorrow... so I'll be cramming by last bits of carb & naughtiness beforehand hah! We'll see how I get on and I will do a weekly update and review on this diet.

To Read Or Not To Read?

So I thought I'd write about something that I've read in the newspapers that's been bugging me recently. Just need to get this off my chest.

.GET LONDON READING.

The Evening Standard have been running with a campaign on getting London to read. I've not read everything that they've printed. But from what I've read, the basic jist of it is that the literacy levels in London are extremely low with stats like 1 in 4 children who leave primary schools cannot read and that 1 in 3 children do not own a book at home. Also, they ran the story with the little girl Aurella and how she's never had a book & the only book she had is an Argos catalogue!?! All I have to say is...

ERRRRR... WTH??

And this is what I have to say about it - I believe reading ability is very much dependent on 2 main factors (obviously there are lots of different things that are contributing factors) -

1) Teachers - children go to school to learn. That's what school is about right?? Teachers are being paid good money to teach kids especially basic things like reading. I do not blame the teachers as such because my flatmate is a primary school teacher & she does a very good job. But if it's certain areas in London that are really problematic, then surely issues right at the heart should be addressed first and foremost. If reading is a big issue, have more of a reading structure in place! Simple as.

2) PARENTS - so teachers do their job, but parents also need to pull their weight too. The least they could do is to provide some books at home. I know that there are alot of people who have come from abroad so many the parents are not so hot on reading the English language HOWEVER they could at least buy the damn thing. With that girl Aurella, she didn't have 1 single book but an argos catalogue?! WTF is that about? Then the mum is the only 1 to blame. Surely she can afford to buy 1 book for her... if not, then there are things in the country called libraries where you can borrow books for freeeeeee.

I just don't relaly get this campaign and just think certain issues should be addressed before they start extending their hands and getting people to 'donate' towards volunteers.

I sound like a hopeless romantic... but It's must be such an amazing feeling to exchange vows with the person you love ♥

Shaun & Tricia got married on 5th June. We all met first year of uni together which I can't believe was almost 8 years ago since 2003! Shaun & Tricia had a baby girl, Erin, a few months before the wedding & it was so special as they included Erin in the wedding. They had a chinese traditional banquet. They had amazing pre-wedding photos & video taken around London and during the banquet they had the photoshoot & video clips shown on a screen - sooo sweet!

So there we have it! I wish them all the very best for the future~

D.E.T.O.X. - Day 1.

So I did a mini haul at Boots couple of days ago before I popped to the gym. Had to pick up a few bits before my holiday...

Boots detox 5 day plan, Nivea Express Hydration body cream, Garnier intensive
7 days in Aloe Vera & Cocoa Butter (3 for 2), Veet wax strips, Ibruprofen, & diarrhoea tablets for the holiday just in case...

With the holiday just round the corner, I wanted to cleanse my system so I feel all fresh & revitalised. I've been recommended the Boots detox plan by a friend before & after reading some reviews, thought it would be a good idea to cleanse & detoxify!

The pack comes with 5 vials of liquid. There's 3 flavours (Original, Apple or Strawberry).
You have to pour the liquid into 1 litre of water & drink throughout the day. As it's a detox, you'd have to eat plenty of veg, fruit etc. and cut out coffee, tea, diary, alcohol... basically eat well!

Instead of pouring the liquid in a 1 litre bottle... I poured 1/2 into a 500ml bottle... pyschologically it seems much more manageable & easier to drink. To be honest... I don't think I ever drink a litre of water a day but a mixture of different things like tea, squash, juice etc. so it was quite hard. I'm sure it will get easier... though between 10.30am - 5pm I went for a wee like 6 times (sorry to be so graphic)!! Normally I only go twice at work lol.

I'll update to see what the progress is like...

Neglect

I've really neglected my blog for a while... I feel really bad as I had it up and running and was on such a roll! Starry Starry Night

Wouldn't it be amazing if my back yard lookeed like this...? To be able to lie down on the grass & watch the stars in the evenings...

The most amazing sky I've seen in my life was in Boracay, Phillipines. They have 'brown outs' occasionally and I experienced this whilst walking on the beach with my friend and literally the sky suddenly lit up like there was a big firework or something... then we realised the whole island was plunged into darkness. The sky was lit up by the stars. It was trully amazingggg... we sat & chat until dawn & it will be one of those memories I'll never forget & one I'd love for it to be repeated.

Just one more thing... me and Shawn have talked about going to see Aurora Borealis in our lifetime... hopefully. It would be awesome to see it in Canada... or Norway.

Accidental Night

So in true Terri style... I managed to have an accident on Tuesday night playing netball.

Yes... netball.

(this... but clutching my head instead...)

This 'non-contact' sport led me to fall arse over tit and hit my Wong head on the concrete... nice! I was taken in an Ambulance with the big bump on my head, along with plenty of tears & snot to the A&E at Paddington. It was my first time in an Ambulance! Freya & Jules stayed with me & came to the hospital too... they were great as they made the hours go by quick entertaining me - thank you!!! 4 hours later I was finally seen and was sent home in 2 minutes (?!). Shawn came to see me and pick me up & looked after me that night ♥

Thank god I didn't crack my head open and it's nothing serious. It would've been awful if the doctors had to shave my new hair off on one side to stitch me up... I'll settle for bit of concussion, a big bruise on my head, whiplash on me neck, and my ass hurting lol. Now I just need my head to 'equilibrate' as the doctor said. Also I've lost my appetite... even better as I get to lose a bit of weight too!

I think I'll be just a lil bit scared to get back on the court next week in case I get barged & bump my head again... buttttt my love for the game is far greater than that so I'll continue to play & score some more goals!

I did it! I finally got the hair chopped off!!! I've NEVER had my hair this short EVER before so it was a shock when the hairdresser hacked off 8 inches of my precious locks.

Going Nude Sky High

So I went to a Black Tie affiliate event with work recently and it was held at Altitude 360 in Millbank, London. it was an AWEEEEESOME location. We had a sit down meal on the 29th floor and the view was absolutely incredible. I've been on the London Eye before but to actually sit down and eat with the London backdrop behind, it was breathtaking. The Arcadia table had the best view (naturally)... and from our table we could see Westminster Abbey, Big Ben, London Eye, and the city in the back.

Can't believe it's been months since my last post! *Slaps own hand*. I've had so many problems with my laptop that it takes me hours and hours to put a post together that I end up giving up (I'll be getting a new netbook soon - so I'll be flying again yeh-yeh.)

I've been looking for quite a while now for some flat brogues. It's been fairly difficult to find a pair I really like... they're either too manly or the quality is not really here so it's about finding the right balance. I've had another look online today and here are a 'shortlist' of ones I'm considering...

So I've been MIA for a while now... was really busy for a few weeks and have just got back from my AWESOME holiday with my loverboy to the Dominican for 2 weeks! It was my 1st time to the Caribbean and we had a such a good time - I really didn't want to come back.

had a quick look on their website to see what the range holds and to be honest, I wasn't too keen on it at first & didn't know what to expect BUT I was perfectly suprised!

Said to be long lasting... I'll give update.

Skin Tint in Light

This is very similar to the MAC Face & Body (but much cheaper!) but slightly more pigmented yet is still very light. This is really ideal for those who tend to have dryer skin as it does have a smooth & shiny finish.

When I had this put on with the bronzer & blush a girl at Topshop said "oh I want to look like her!"

Would DEFINITELY recommend this - great to wear in the summer especially for those who do not need full coverage.

Blush in Neon Rose

This is a cream based blush, soft to the touch & easy to blend - great colour for summer.

Similar product to that of the Bobbi Brown cheek & lip colour but easier to blend!

Eye Shadow Trio in Sunstar

Absolutely adore this trio... I really only got it for the gold but the other colours work really well together so can't wait to try this one on a night out!

Kohl Pencils in Saddle (Brown) & Bolt (Navy)

Easy to glide on & are quite pigmented so it's really easy to glide onto the eye.

It's intense colour is great - I've had mine on for about 3 hours & it's not smudged at all!

(Which reminds me - can also be smudged in when you draw it on.)

So I have to say... so far I'm one happy customer & this range is definitely a breath of fresh air. And at very affordable prices... it's definitely something all girls should look into trying out!

Chanel Mini Makeover

My flatmate Chloe & I went to a mini Chanel makeover yesterday to get our faces & nails done at House of Fraser. I've never used any Chanel makeup before so was unsure what to expect. Here's a few pix of what we got up to:

Forget Me Not...

I forgot my keys yet again on Thurday night & of all the days no one was at home to let me in!! Grrr.

Sooo I 'HAD' to go shopping otherwise I had no where to go. The only shop opened at the time of night was Matalan. I don't remember when the last time I shopped at Matalan was so didn't know what to expect.
I was actually pleasantly suprised with some of the stuff they had there... though the quality still doesn't feel great...but what do you expect for the price ey?

My Matalan haul:

I love the sandles so much - they'll go really well with my maxi dress I got in HK. Closer to summer I'll do an outfit post. Am getting excited about my holiday now since I did a little holiday shop yay!

Went to MAC in Carnaby Street yesterday to check out the foundations... I've never used MAC foundation before as a) my skin's not that bad so never use much foundation b) always used other brands. But I decided to finally give it a go.

I bought the Face & Body Foundation in C2. This foundation is ideal for those who do not need/want a full coverage & want a more natural look. My skin type is normal/dry. It's great as I never get that oily face look & don't have to worry much about break outs but it's difficult when you want to use foundation that doesn't expose any dryness. I have a slight phobia of standing in natural light & how imperfections intensifies.

Face & Body Foundation £23

My skin did look fab after with this foundation on & the skin colour evens out. It's lightweight & what's more it's water resistant so you can do all the crying you need to do! I'll also do a FOTD soon with this too!

I also ended up buying the studio sculpt concealer. It goes well with the foundation. It's got a good coverage & doesn't make my eyes look too 'liney'.

Studio Sculpt Concealer £13

Only a small amount is needed as it's creamy formula is rich enough. It's water resistant too & light so all the better! I've tried so many concealers before that needs to be reapplied often & this one will be great for those night outs~

I've had a thing for jewellery... whether it's bracelets, necklaces, earrings, rings (doesn't help when I used to work in a Jewellery shop but loved every minute of it!) for a long time. I used to have tons of jewellery until one time when I moved house & left my stuff in the garage for a wee while & everything turned damp & mouldy so had to chuck it all out! So now have to start collecting again.

I grabbed a few bits of jewellery from Hong Kong...

Dainty gold necklaces are big at the moment especially with words!

Easter Beauty Buys ♥

Already the long Easter weekend feels like it's far behind us now! Great thing is its hump day tomorrow yay!

So the Easter weekend didn't hold an occasion of mass chocolate consumption for me (I don't really like chocolate much - yes i know!) but it was a rather chilled out one filled with family, the boyfriend & a little bit of shopping ♥

And here's what came home with me...

1. L'Oreal Elvive damage care conditioning repair spray

2. Vaseline Sheer Infusion in Mineral Renewal

3. V05 Silky Smooth Elixir Luxtrious Shine shampoo & conditioner

4. Sure Maximum Protection deodorant

I'll do a product review on 1,2 and 3 soon after I've tested it for a week or so.

BUT...

I have to give a rave review on Sure Maximum Protection.

Yup. It's all over the train & tube advertisements... (the one with the lady & her arms sticking up holding the rails). I gave in to advertising & couldn't resist but to try it to see what 'MAXIMUM protection' is reaaaaaaaaally like. By all means it's NOT the first time I've used it... it's my third purchase... and boy oh boy does it protect.

The instructions say to use it around 3 - 4 times a week (it's that strong). It's got a twisty type thing at the bottom to push the deodorant out... it comes out like little worms haha... but only a small amount is needed.

This stuff works wonders! I don't think I'm a particularly sweaty person but am VERY conscious of body odour especially in the summer. I put it on once in the morning and do not have to reapply at all throughout the day compared to other spray on or roll on deodorants. The smell lasts all day long and what's amazing about it is that I stay sweat free all day! (AND no white marks as yet)

As for those hardcore party-goers... this is definitely a must if you're intending to dance the night away in hot sweaty clubs! It's around £4.50 a pop (slightly more expensive than other deodorants) but if you think about only applying once & it working extremely well - to maximum protection - then I think it's definitely worth it!

Cosmetics Heaven...

Couldn't resist stopping by at a cosmetics store again today... there's so much to look at and I want to buy everything (money would be an issue though...)! There's just so much to choose from... probably more than 15 types of everything from tweezers, nail files, brushes, eye lash curlers... you name it they've got it & it all looks so cute & prestine!

So here's what I added to my collection today...

1) A Metallic Mascara Comb - it's retractable yay!

2) An Eyelash Applicator - AWESOMENESS!

The eyelash applicator will definitely come in handy on my nights out when I'm frantically trying to put on my eyelashes (it's difficult when you're trying to get out the door & running late! It's puts the pressure on bit time). I always manage to put one on really quickly then take ages to put the 2nd pair on!

I've yet to try this out & will definitely let you know when I do. BUT I was actually watching a Bubz Beauty (for those of you who don't know - she's a mass followed beauty guru on You Tube with her own clothing range) video today & guess what? She used this too & said it was easy to use! Check her video out here!

Today's Pick Me Ups!

Following my Dermalogica post... I went to get my complimentary Dermlogica facial done in a beauty salon. It was amaaAaazing. I fell asleep it felt so nice. It was a full facial including cleanse, tone and moisturise... OH and massage on my neck & shoulders. So soooo soothing.

It basically confirmed my thoughts about the Derm... it is now 5 hours after I left the salon. I've shopped, travelled on public transport, had dinner and now am home but my face still feels supple like I've just put on the moisturiser.

Anyhoos... here's what I bought today!

And my outfit to end the post... the harem trousers bought the other day plus my new booties!!!
(Had to quickly take this before getting into a lift... don't have full length mirror in HK shock horror)

Stocked up on some nail varnishes today at Sasa (Huge cosmetics chain in Hong Kong). Found out they ship worldwide too - yay!!

I know it's not summer yet... but I was drawn to buying variations of soft pastle peaches & oranges.

$94 HKD (£7.80) for all 4 nail varnishes- bargain or what?

The smaller ones (Fantasy Colour Nail Polish £1.70) are scented strawberry & rose too! Awesome~

My New Eyes To The World...

Got new glasses finally! I've been squinting to see the last couple of months as I had run out of contacts and my glasses have been manky to say the least - I have to tighten the screws everytime I wear my home pair & my work pair are scratched from chucking it in my bags without the case *slaps hand*. So I decided it's out with the old & in with the new.

Beauty That Is Dermalogica

Thought i'd let you guys in on one of the l♥ves of my life... if you're going to read something on my blog... read this!

I only discovered it last year through work when we were a sponsor of the Movember charity event back in November but since then this beaute has me hooked, line and sinker. I started off with samples of a range of stuff... and loved every single bit of it.

Dermalogica is not a pretentious brand that tries to be luxurious by any means nor does it mass market and claims miracle cures... but is dedicated to research and skin health. You may think... hmm I've heard of it but don't know much about it so it's probably not great but if it's anything to go by it's a definite underdog to all the major brands and is trully amazing (I cannot stress how much!). I know I'm still an earlier user of the brand but I know that I will be a loyal customer for sure.

I l♥ve the fact that they are not 'try hard' in the sense of hard selling and they seem so genuine... if you go into one of their labs... you will notice the difference and how it's the whole aura... the sense of trust, understanding and education (it's so hard to describe - one of those things you have to have been there to know what I'm talking about).

The brand and packaging is not overzealous, frilly and in their own words... "not to colour-coordinate with your bathroom". I think to sum the brand up I'd have to use the word - pure.

If you ever do get the chance... i definitely would highly recommend trying Dermalogica... it's better than some luxury brands that frankly you're paying the price for their name.

This baby is (my god) fantastic... I'd only recommend it if you are not lazy and can spare another couple of minutes to 'precleanse' but if you do... you'll definitely see and most importantly feel the results.

Step 2 - Cleanse

Ultra Calming Cleanser 500ml £32.50

I use this cleanser as it's great for sensitive skin. It protects your skin from environmental influences i.e. pollution, cosmetic allergies etc. Sometimes I will skip the precleanse and go straight to this cleanser if I've not used make up during the day.

Step 3 - Exfoliate

Daily Microfoliant 75g £27.80

Voted as In-Style's best beauty buys of 2010 this exfoliator is trully amazing! Far from the normal exfoliators most are accustomed to (granule type) this is extremely gentle (barely there). It brightens the skin making it noticeably smoother. After I've used the cleansers & this exfoliator - the mini white heads around the nose disappears straight away!

Step 4 - Tone

Soothing Protection Spray 250ml £18.90

This acts as a toner which is ultra-calming for sensitive skin. It helps with protecting your skin and shield against factors like stress, pollution etc. helping to control skin irritation.

Step 5 - Moisturise Eyes

Multi Vitamin Power Firm 15ml £26.05 (I know!!)

This little baby is to put round the eyes to combat signs of premature aging (those fine lines round the eyes) & to protect your eyesfrom damage and improve smoothness. Though it will probably take a little while before I can notice the difference properly as no miracle cream will say bye bye to lines immediately (they're lying if they say they do)!

Step 6 - Moisturise Face

Skin Smoothing Cream 150ml £22.10

And finally... this cream is great for dry dehydrated skin to relieve tightness & helps locks in skin's moisture. It tones & improves skin's texture and suppleness. It feels fantastically light on the skin & your skin feels refreshed. Some moisturers feel like it's evaportated and your skin feels like it's disappeared soon after but after applying this wonder your skin still feels supple for ages! ♥ Double Thumbs Up ♥

Though it is a great initial financial investment for sure... I believe it's definitely worth it as the majority of the products lasts for a whopping 9 months! If you divide the cost up per month it's only about £3 each which is not bad as it's quality stuff compared to the cheaper products which you will purchase more frequently.

I believe it's a necessary to keeping my skin looking young & healthy (definitely step in right direction to prevent future Botox costs)! Especially since now I'm 25 and am not getting any younger~

Went on my first shopping trip today in Hong Kong yeh yeh~ Only bought a few goodies though... It's highly annoying when you like something but you know that it's not going to fit because in the majority of shops only make tops one size only (!) It sucks when you see something nice but have to resist buying it as I'm rather curvacious compared to the size 0 girls out here. (My 'child baring hips' better come in handy one day!!) What makes it worse is that you see them scoffing their faces all the time yet they manage to stay so skinny... I digress~

So I stepped into the world of Duty Free on Tuesday evening on my way to Hong Kong and my did I have to stop myself. Thank god we were limited on time because if I had more of those precious moments... I certainly would've ended up buying more than my bank card bargained for.

Here are my 2 buys...

1) Bobbi Brown Long-Wear Gel Eyeliner Set L♥VE L♥VE L♥VE

I got this set in Black and Mauve Shimmer Ink at a bargain £22 (oh yes!) and comes with Ultra Thin Eye Liner brush too! It's such great value as 1 alone costs £15! Not sure if the highstreet will sell this set though as they do not sell the set on the Bobbi Brown website.

I've used gel liners before as I find that a) it lasts longer b) it's so easy to put on (it does take slightly more effort than the traditional pencil liners but if you want to look good without needing to re-apply during the day then this is the cheese!) This definitely tops the list of eyeliners for sure. The shimmery shade is amazing for a night out as well instead of the usual black.

2) DKNY Be Delicious (Limited Edition Bottle)

Bought this 100ml baby for £30 (double oh yeahhhh...). It smells absolutely devine... sexy & provacative, this sweet scent combines apple with 'sensual wood' and an exotic flower power kick to it.

It's definitely DELICI♥US alright. Have searched round quickly for a retailer that's selling this limited edition perfume but not found one so far. I've only seen the 'normal edition'.

Anyhoos... I'll be in HK for another 8 days and I'll be posting holiday photos and my buys here during my stay!

All Eyes On Me....

Brand Focus... Clinique.

So, I wasn't blessed with the best eyes in the world... now I'm not talking about being Chinese because I don't think I have particularly 'Chinesey' eyes (not that I'm saying that Chinese eyes are bad don't get me wrong...) but I'm talking about those dreaded DARK circles --> O <-- underneath them. They won't go away no matter what I do or even if I sleep for 12 hours. Apparantly, it's linked to my sinus problem?! Anyways I digress...

For most of my life... I've had to experiment with different concealers and cover ups to hide my suitcases whilst making sure I don't over-do smokey eyes on a night out to avoid looking like I've been brutally punched. Recently I've been lucky enough to be given a fantastic concealer to try by a Clinique lover, embassador and devotee (thanks Caroline!).

This little gem is the Clinique Airbrush Concealer £14.68 ♥ (Boots - cheapest around so far). It's a light reflecting under-eye brightener that conceals & hides blemishes & in my case dark circles. What I really like about it is that it's got a lightweight texture to it that doesn't cling & is so easy to use. It comes in a range of skin tones and a perfect handbag sized necessity.

Tip: Brush on the affected areas with small amounts of concealer then use your forefinger to dab it gently. Repeat to increase coverage.

I DEFINITELY recommend this little wonder... it's like the Touch Eclat... but better & cheaper!

The next Clinique ♥ of mine is...

All About Eyes eye cream £20 (Save £2 on everywhere else at Boots.com!). This cream/gel formula is fantastic... it's featherlight and feels silky on the eyes once applied. This beauty is geared towards reducing dark circles (yes!), puffiness and softens lines. What's more when applied in the morning it helps to hold make up in place too! It's also been featured on Gok Wan's 'How To Look Good Naked'!
Even though it's small in size... it lasts for ages as you only need to use a tiny amount so it's a little must-have pot of gold!

I absolutely recomment both of these reviewed... I've also guided you to the Boots website because:

1) Well-known brand
2) Trusted website
3) It's a couple of quid cheaper if you buy Clinique than other websites
4) You can collect your Advantage Card points online too!

Ohhh yes... another date in the calendar that's so commercial we should have this as another bank holiday! After my first personal blog on the trials and tribulations of my life I've finally decided to start my second blog!

Since i'm now working in the fashion industry (though marketing) I've decided to start a new chapter and blog about fashion and another of my love - beauty! I know there are tons of blogs out there on catwalk fashion but what's annoying is most of it talks about things we cannot actually afford to add to our wardrobe or possibly imagine wearing? So I'm going to blog about highstreet fashion - something most of us can relate to - and I'll also write reviews on things tried and tested. Better still I'll also show the where to get the deals (this is the work side of me seeping through). Oh and not to mention a bit of a gossip and finally about life in general~
